What would be the best treatment for pelvic congestion, considering that I've had a complete hysterectomy?

I was diagnosed with pelvic congestion syndrome in 2007. After having a total hysterectomy, I got a second opinion and found out I still have a working ovary, though my med reports say they where both removed. Which treatment should I get for pelvic congestion disorder? I need to get it treated some days I can't function.

You should be evaluated by an experienced vascular surgeon or interventional radiologist who specializes in the treatment of pelvic congestion. Typically you'd find this person at a big medical center. They can advise the best evaluation tools for you.

I would first get a CT venogram to assess the veins.

You need to get a diagnostic study done to outline the anatomy of your pelvic veins, including ovarian veins, before any recommendations are made. This could be strated with a good pelvic Doppler ultrasound with TV probe or, if not available, CT venogram, MR venography or tilt table traditional venography.

The treatment that is used for pelvic varices, that are the cause of PCS, is a pelvic venous embolization. Interventional Radiologists are the preferred providers for these treatments.
