Which procedure works best for back veins?

I have these terrible veins on my back. I have had laser therapy 3 times, with very little fading. Getting ready for the 4th treatment. Do you have any suggestions on what I might try differently? Thanks.

If the veins are big enough to accommodate a small needle, then sclerotherapy would be possible.

Injection sclerotherapy is the gold standard for the treatment of spider veins of the trunk and legs.

I would recommend transillumination with a vein lite to see if there are any "feeder" reticular veins. If these are present, they may be contributing to decreased response from treatments and should be injected. If they are very fine, treatment with a radiofrequency device (such as Vein Gogh) may be the answer. Consider that it can take an average of 3 to 5 treatments. You can also try a different laser. We have had success with our 940 diode laser. Again, depending upon the size of the veins, sclerotherapy injections may work if the veins are able to be cannulated.

I cannot comment without seeing the veins or knowing what color and size they are.

If you have not had an evaluation that included an ultrasound, that would be my recommendation. The imaging device can reveal if there are underlying vein problems.

I've had similar results with light therapy. I'd recommend sclerotherapy after a Duplex ultrasound evaluation.

You should have sclerotherapy instead. If the laser failed 3 times, then obviously the procedure does not work for your problem. You need an experienced vein specialist who performs sclerotherapy.
