Why did most of my spider vein refill in a month?

My spider veins were completely gone for about 2 weeks after treatment. But eventually, in about a month, the very same veins refilled. Will another session help or will it not grant permanent results as well?

There are no permanent results for the treatment of spider veins. Spider veins can recur and many times several sessions are necessary to treat these veins. You should continue with more treatments.

Need to evaluate the underlying large venous system with ultrasound. If those veins have weak valves, that may explain the problem with the spider veins.

A typical area of veins can take three to five treatments if treated correctly. The underlying reticular "feeder" veins should also be injected to prevent reopening as you describe. These can be seen clearly with transillumination in a darkened room and are treated with a slightly stronger solution. The surface veins can be injected immediately after. We also recommend compression hose, medical grade, to be worn for about seven days. This can vary also. We inform our patients that treatment one and two should be about 4 weeks apart and are equally important - otherwise you are wasting you money. Injections are still the gold standard in treating spider and reticular veins. Find a clinic with experience and treating appropriately for you veins.

Generally the same ones do not recur immediately. See your provider and another treatment session may be in order.
