I had my Sclerotherapy procedure yesterday and my toes hurt while I slept last night with the compression tights on. What does this mean? Should I be worried?
I do not think it is anything serious. It is most likely from the compression hose.

The pain was probably due to the tight stockings, but call your MD.

This question should be asked of the doctor who treated you with Sclerotherapy. However, I'd like to ask you if you had mapping done before you received Sclerotherapy?

More than likely, the discomfort was caused by your compression hose. Make sure you pull down the toes to give them plenty of room. We typically put our patients into open toe hose to eliminate this possibility. Our patients mostly wear the hose 24/7 for 7 days, and the open toe style is great for this.

It's most likely from the hose. They are putting pressure on your foot when you're lying flat. Call your MD.

See if the toes still hurt with stockings off or if there is any discoloration. Either way, let your doctor know. If there's no discoloration and if the pain goes away with the stockings off, it's very unlikely there's anything serious. But clearly there can sometimes be dangerous problems, so it is best to let your doctor know what is going on.

The pain in your toes is most likely due to the compression stockings being too tight. I doubt it has much to do with the slerotherapy.

You probably need open toe hose.

Not sure, but you may need to wait 2-3 days. If the pain is still there after that time, contact your doctor.

You may consider removing compression stockings at night or buying open toe stockings.

It could be something as simple as the compression stocking being too tight or it could be a more serious complication related to the sclerotherapy causing some blood vessel damage to an artery. I would suggest immediate evaluation by the treating physician.

Usually the pain in the feet after sclerotherapy is from the compression stockings, due to the tightness around the ankle. It shouldn't be of any concern even though it may be very uncomfortable. You should only wear them for two nights, then just during the day after that.

Your toes should not hurt form the sclerotherapy. Perhaps the compression stockings were too tight. Try removing the compression. If no improvement, then follow up with your treating physician.

More than likely, the toe pain is from the compression stockings. Most stockings given out or prescribed following sclerotherapy treatments are very tight. They can press on joints and cutaneous nerves resulting in discomfort in the leg. I doubt that it is due to the sclerotherapy unless they were injecting into the toes/foot. I would just take the stockings off at night and see if the pain resolves.
