Microphlebectomy is a clean, sterile procedure and antibiotics are not necessary. The infection risk is almost 0.

The infection risk is very low. Microphlebectomy is performed with needle size cuts on the skin. Antibiotics are usually prescribed to further decrease the risk of infection

Generally I do not give patients antibiotics with these procedures, and have had no significant problems with infections (over 600 cases)

The risk of infection is very low. There is no need for you to take antibiotics unless you do develop an infection, again, that risk is very low.

The risk of infection is less than 1%, therefore I do not prescribe post procedure antibiotics.
