There is no time frame for new spider veins to show up. Some of the very small spider veins can form at the injection sites.

If a patient completes a course of treatment (average 3 - 5 treatments for an area of veins to resolve) and the practitioner does a thorough clearing of the area including the "feeder" reticular veins, patients can expect several years without treatments. There are, however, a lot of variables from patient to patient.
Heredity, extent of spider veins, number and size of the "feeder" veins, hormonal issues, resistive veins, cost and appropriate modalities of treatment all impact vein resolution.
In our practice, patients with a moderate amount of veins can expect 70 - 80% clearing which can last 2 or more years. Many we don't see for 3 + years who come for touch up treatments as needed.
If treated thoroughly, your genetics may be the type that develop new veins. It is easier to treat them when they first start appearing than to wait until they get bad.
A thorough evaluation using ultrasound, trans-illumination and treatment options and expectations are key to understanding the process.

Since spider veins and varicose veins develop to different degrees and at different rates from person to person, this question is difficult to answer. You have some influence upon how soon you develop new spider veins or varicose veins. It is helpful to be physically fit and slender and to routinely wear elastic compression stockings.

There is not a single simple answer to this question. Many factors affect spider vein recurrence, including genetics, sun exposure, hormones, age, wearing support hose, venous valvular incompetence, etc. Some spider veins will always return or reform and they are a forever problem. I recommend after treatment that patients return for treatment depending on when they see veins recurring (usually one to 3 years).

Yes, it varies from person to person. Wearing compression hose will slow the progression of spider veins.
