Can you use body lotion on your legs before you wear TED stockings?
The term"TED" is a brand name for stockings designed to reduce the incidence of venous clotting in patients who are in the supine position (lying down) such as for surgery or at bedrest. They are not intended for the patient who is standing, sitting, or walking and do not create the graduated higher compression needed for venous support. Graduated elastic compression stockings are meant for the person who is able to sit, stand, or walk and are the appropriate kind for treating venous insufficiency. Recently applied body lotion will make donning the hose more difficult. A good approach is to use the lotion at bedtime for skin moisturizing.

Yes, lotion may help keep the hose from falling down your thighs.
