Does a decrease in testosterone level in male’s leads to chronic venous insufficiency? Could it be because of weight lifting in gym?

I'm 25 with well muscular build. I had a VNUS closure procedure of GSV of both the legs a year ago followed by sclerotherapy session after a month. I am into weight training lifestyle so I started weight lifting 5 month after my procedure. I can see some tiny bulging of veins around calf, hamstring and on feet. Will these veins get worse and is it due to my hormone levels? These are really frustrating I feel helpless. Should I stop weight lifting?

The bulging of veins in the calf, hamstring and on the foot are probably due to an opened "feeder vein or veins". Closing the "feeder vein(s)" would probably resolve the reported issues. The relationship of the "hormones" may or may not have anything to do with your vein problem.

Hard to say whether the veins on your calf will get worse but there is a good chance they will get worse over time. I don't think you should stop weight lifting. Testosterone cause decrease in subcutaneous fat in normal ranges but in ranges above normal some of it is converted to estrogen which increases varicose veins. Unless you have an true endocrine disorder such as hypogonadism, my advice is to not take hormone supplements for the aforementioned reasons and they increase the risk of heart disease.

The veins are not due to your testosterone levels. If you still have bulging veins, you should have a repeat venous ultrasound to look for a possible source of the veins. If the ultrasound is normal, then you may want to modify you weight training since constant straining could lead to venous reflux.
