When may I start driving after my venous procedure? I had ELA 10 days ago on right leg.
I tell my patients the next day is fine.
Michael D. Ingegno
Our patients typically can drive 2 days after our EVLA and actually could drive the day of the procedure. I do not allow my patients to drive for 2 days until the light dressings come off.
Unless you have extreme pain/bruising that would cause you to have pain driving, you should definitely be able to drive at 10 days. Speak with your surgeon.
Norman N. Bein MD FACS RVT.
You should be fine to drive after 10 days, but check with your treating physician.
My patients usually drive the next day. You should get advice from your treating physician.

You could actually have started driving 10 days ago. I have never put a driving restirction on my patients after thermal ablation. Never had a complication. Provided you wear your compression stockings, you can drive.
The day of. I have patients who drive from my procedures to work although
most usually wait until the next day.
