I would recommend waiting at least 2-3 weeks but your surgeon may wish you to wait longer. You can undergo massage if the area treated is avoided.

As soon as the soreness from the procedure is over, you can have a massage. There is no real contra indication to having a massage after venous ablation.

You can have massage therapy 10 days to one month post endovenous laser ablation depending on the amount of bruising and discomfort that you have.

Waiting at least one week is recommended. However, as your vein heals, it may be uncomfortable to have a massage until the inflammation resolves which may last for several weeks.

There are no guidelines. It depends on the individual. Some folks have no discomfort following procedure and can go on with activities hours after the procedure and others several days. If you have no discomfort and are ambulatory and active. I would say a week or even a few days later. Please remember to keep your stocking worn before and after therapy.

Venous ablation seals the vein with chemical irritation or thermal injury. Waiting 2-4 weeks before leg massage may have a theoretical advantage of not pushing or dislodging clots.
