I have not had a diagnosis yet.
You need a duplex ultrasound exam or your legs.. This will help sort out the cause. You may need additional studies such as CT or MRI venogram or lymposcintigraphy.

Edema and pain in feet may be due to a number of different reasons. Starting from heart, if there is poor pumping of heart, fluid will tend to accumulate in your feet. Similarly, liver and kidney malfunction can also give rise to fluid deposition in feet. Certain medicines can cause fluid retention in body. Among the vascular causes, saphenous vein reflux is high on the list. If all other causes are excluded then lymphedema is a possibility. In short if you don't have any cardiac issues, it may be a good idea to have your leg veins evaluated by a vein specialist.

Without ultrasound evaluation there is no way to tell what is going on...we need your age, physical findings and u/s reports to diagnose your problem

It is impossible to give a diagnosis based on what you say. You need a full evaluation since there are multiple causes of ankle and foot swelling. See your medical doctor and if he cannot give a diagnosis, them see a vein specialist.

Not enough information, but if it's feet only it's less likely vein related, even more so if the swelling persists overnight.

This can be due to many different things. We need to look at he whole picture and you should see your physician. It could be venous insufficiency, renal problems, cardiac problems, liver problems, thyroid problems, problems with the protein in your blood, lymphoedema etx. I would see your physician to narrow it down and check you over first
