1. Are you referring to the stockings hurting while you are wearing them or the process of putting them on?
2. Why is your mom putting your stockings on? There are devices that can assist in putting them on.
3. If they are uncomfortable while wearing, you may want to have the measurements re-checked.

If your hose are correctly measured and fitted, there are techniques to help with application. A well trained certified fitter will ensure the correct hose are ordered. Additionally a better quality hose will be easier to apply. Seek out someone who can teach your mom these techniques, use gloves for better grip, foot slips for open toe hose, and help them slide on.

I have no idea. You should go together to a doctor or medical supply store that specializes in this so they can watch her do it.

Hard to say. Do her nails hurt you? Is the stocking fitted properly? They should be very snug. Some people find the snugness a bit uncomfortable.

She has to make sure there are no wrinkles in the stocking as she is putting them on. Also are you sure they are fit correctly? Stockings should not hurt

Applying support stockings is sometimes problematic. Wearing rubber gloves helps and a "donner" device obtained through support stocking companies may help.

My vascular surgeon did an ultrasound and prescribed endovenous laser ablation. She also suggested that I wear compression stockings after the procedure. However, due to severe psoriasis and eczema on my feet, I cannot wear full-coverage stockings that cover them. They must always be in wet dressings, but cannot be fully covered. Would footless compression stockings be just as effective as full-coverage hose following the procedure?
