Why do I have severe pain in my left leg 1.5 months after laser treatment?

My mom had a laser treatment 1.5 months ago. She was completely fine and walking a lot with compression stockings on all the time. Last week she was having pain in her left leg, especially the back of the knee and her calf. She got a scan done and the physician said nothing was wrong with the veins. Today she is not able to walk. There is no redness or swelling. Could this be deep vein thrombosis?

There are many causes of leg pain. An ultrasound is an excellent test for DVT between the calf and groin, so if this is normal, the chances of DVT in this area are minimal. If she cannot walk, then there has to be an explanation, so further testing is indicated.
