Can deep vein reflux get worse after saphenous vein ablation? (2 answers)
I have deep vein reflux (incompetent femoral, common femoral and poplitetal veins) with great saphenous vein reflux, I had saphenous vein radio frequency ablation and ambulatory phlebotomy on my right leg 3 months ago. Was it the wrong procedure?
Does valve closure occur spontaneously at the time of ablation? (3 answers)
My husband had ablation on a branch vein in his thigh and upon ultrasound a few days later he was told the greater saphenous vein spontaneously closed at the same time (the doctor did not perform the ablation there). Is this known to occur?

I am 25-year-old female, and 3 years ago I started having spider veins on my thighs and blue slightly bulging veins behind my knee on both legs. I have no symptoms, but had ultrasound done, and found that I have 0.3 to 0.5 sec reflux in GSV in right leg. Do I need to get immediate treatment, or what do I have to do next?
Is RFA recommended for AVM? (1 answer)
My 15 year old has an AVM that the doctors want to do an RFA on. Will this burn the nerves and seal it? Is this a common procedure for this condition? It is deep in his thigh and they said they would have to dig if they do this surgically.
Pain four years after vein ablation (4 answers)
I had a vein ablation 4 yrs ago and have had blue discoloration on calf since procedure where the doctor injected the spider vein treatment solution. I've had occasional pain until eight months ago, now the pain is constant. Causes?

I had the venous doppler ultrasound done and I have a vein leaning against another causing numbness feeling and foot swelling b/c of the reflux. I am on warfarin and have a vena cava in already. This is on the rt. leg, what would be my recoup time?

Following a vein stripping performed in 1960, I developed an infection which complicated into a DVT in the left leg. For the years since, I have had poor circulation and accompanying adema. Would it be risky to have RF ablation now for var. veins?
