I had laser and a phlebectomy done about four weeks ago, and my legs are black and blue and they still hurt. Is this normal?

I have heard bad things about scarring with hook phlebectomy but havent heard anything about transilluminated. Why isn't it more popular and easier to find information on?

I was told this is considered an experimental/investigational type of procedure...why is that?
