David G. Smith, MD
Dr. David G. Smith is an experienced cardiovascular surgeon and a leader in vein treatment when it comes to serving the people of Ohio. He received his medical degree from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine, and completed his residency at Akron General Medical Center.
Dr. Smith completed a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the world-renowned Mt. Sinai Medical Center and MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. Prior to joining the staff at University Hospitals of Cleveland, he was served as a cardiologist at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.
He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine (Phlebology), Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation, and board certified in cardiolovascular disease. Dr. Smith has always strived for the safest, most effective comprehensive vein treatment programs possible, all while providing the best customer service and overall patient experience. He is board certified in cardiovascular disease, and is also certified by the Board of Venous and Lymphatic Diseases.
Today, Dr. Smith is the President of Advanced Cardiovascular Consultants and the Owner of Smith Vein Institute and Smith Cosmetic Laser Surgery. His decorated experience in cardiovascular disease allows him to perform a wide variety of specialized procedures, including endovenous laser ablation and ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy. These advanced procedures treat painful, and sometimes debilitating, varicose and spider veins.
