Monika Lecomte Gloviczki, MD, PhD

Monika L. Gloviczki M.D. was born and raised in Poland and entered Medical School in Warsaw in 1979. During martial law, in 1982, she emigrated to France and continued her studies at the University Rene Descartes in Paris, Faculty of Medicine - CHU Necker-Enfants Malades, where she earned her M.D. title in 1991.  She successfully defended her Ph.D. Thesis in Medicine in 1992, on «Neuro-meningeal listeriosis in the adult population», with distinction (Bronze Medal).  She obtained a Master’s Degree in Statistic Methodology and Statistics in Clinical Research at the University Pierre and Marie Curie in Paris (2002). She completed a Fellowship and received Board certification in Phlebology in 2007, at the University Pierre and Marie Curie in Paris: Faculty of Medicine - CHU Pitié Salpetrière.

Dr. Gloviczki is author or co-author of 18 peer-reviewed publications and 6 book chapters. She was Assistant Editor of the 3rd and 4th Edition of the Handbook of Venous and Lymphatic Disorders. She has been an active member of the American Venous Forum (AVF) and served as Chair and Member of the Venous Ulcer Guidelines Committee, Chair of the Lymphedema Committee, and Member of the Varicose Vein Guidelines Committee. She developed a website for the AVF. In 2016, she was named Distinguished Fellow of the AVF.  Dr. Monika Lecomte Gloviczki is Honorary Member of the French College of Vascular Pathology.
