The consultation does have a $100 charge, but then we deduct that from your first sclerotherapy treatment.

This will vary from clinic to clinic. We do not charge for cosmetic consultations. If your veins are very light, you may be a candidate for laser also. However, you need to be evaluated for any possible "feeder" veins (reticulars) below the surface. With these treated as well, you have a better long-term clearing.

Consultations are generally not complimentary. From your request, it sounds like you may benefit from a screening just to assess whether your veins are amenable to sclerotherapy. Feel free to contact us (or your local vein center) to inquire about educational screenings, which we provide at no charge and would likely answer your question. Educational screenings are an excellent way to get an overall understanding of the variety of vein disease and treatment options.

Depends on the MD. I usually charge a nominal fee for a consultation that is credited towards treatments, if they are desired.

The cost of consultations vary from physician to physician. I have a free screening consultation one day a week; the remainder of the week I see patients by appointment only, and that carries with it a consultation fee. I also do an ultrasound with the consultation. The free screening does not have any ultrasound.
