Can full body massage affect sclerotherapy performed two years ago?

I had sclerotherapy two years ago and recently I had a full-body massage. After the massage, I experienced discomforting pain on both legs. My legs are easily tired and feels heavy now. What should I do?

See a vein specialist. You may have vein disease of your deeper veins causing fatigue, ache and heavy feeling in your legs

I don't see any connection between the two. I would stop getting deep tissue massages to your legs. Just to be safe, see a vein specialist to evaluate your leg veins.

Go see your doctor if the pain persists and perhaps try wearing a pair of comfortable compression stockings.

It is hard to be sure why you are having discomfort and fatigue in your legs after a massage without more information and an exam. Most likely, discomfort and fatigue in the legs is not related to sclerotherapy or the massage. I would recommend you consult with your family doctor to better asses the situation.

Body massage should not affect your veins. Sclerotherapy may have been done for superficial veins on the skin's surface and the problem of heavy and tired legs may be due to reflux in saphenous veins. If your legs are feeling heavy and tired, I recommend visiting a vein clinic and getting a diagnostic ultrasound to exclude venous reflux.

Massage will have no affect on sclerotherapy done two years ago. If your legs are having symptoms then you should see a vein specialist.

Your symptoms may indicate underlying venous insufficiency, or progression of one from two years ago. Unless your massage was very vigorous over your legs, these symptoms would be very unusual after a massage. If these symptoms persist, especially after standing or working all day, I would recommend seeing an experienced vein specialist and getting an evaluation along with venous duplex ultrasound done.

The massage would not damage your veins. You should see a vascular surgeon that specializes in venous disease to re-evaluate your venous system.
