If I have a vein that is visible yet normal, can I get it treated?

I have a prominent vein in front of my upper thigh that runs up to my stomach. It does not appear varicose to me, but it's very visible. Is it possible to get this treated even if the visibility is only due to my skin type?

This vein could be treated. One may reduce the size and visibility, or eliminate the vein altogether. Sclerotherapy would be the easiest and most effective procedure to produce the most effective outcome.

This finding can also be associated with an iliac vein narrowing, so a complete work-up may be prudent.

This vein can be treated by sclerotherapy or removed through tiny incisions (microphlebectomy). See a vein specialist.

You can have it injected or removed, but it would be treated as a cosmetic vein if you do not have symptoms.

Yes, it is possible to get normal veins treated. The better question is whether it is wise. Generally speaking, if the vein is working properly, it is best not to treat it.
