Dilution of any of the FDA-approved solutions (Asclera and Sotradecol) is according to the practitioner's preference. Asclera comes in 2 strengths (1 and 0.5%). Dilution of solution depends upon the size of the vein being treated. The larger the vein, the stronger the solution needed to treat the vein. Strengths used vary widely.

No, the size and cluster quantity may necessitate a higher concentration.

This often depends on the size of the vein being treated. The smaller the vein the lower the concentration; the larger the vein the higher the concentration or a foamed solution is used. This is a general recommendation, and there are circumstances that will alter this theory. So no, asclera is not always diluted; it depends on the vein being treated and the strength of the original solution.

Asclera as well as most sclerosing solutions is diluted to various concentrations depending on the areas treated. Larger veins require higher concentrations than smaller veins.
