I am a paraplegic and wear thigh-high compression hose, They are VERY difficult to put on. Is there an alternative, like zip up?
There are compression stockings that close with a zipper, however, I’m only aware of ones that go to the knee. They are commercially available and would be an excellent solution in your case.

Yes, they do exist. Those available have a zipper located either on the outside or inside of the leg. They are as effective, but I am not sure they come in thigh-high length.

There are custom made hose with a zip or Velcro. These must be correctly measured and fitted, preferably as early in the day as possible when there is minimal swelling. They are very expensive and may not be covered by your insurance, so I would check with prior to being fitted if this is a consideration.

There are zippered compression hose, and they are a little bit more expensive than the routine compression hose. I have seen patients with this hose. You may want to have someone Google zippered compression hose to see what companies make them.
