TED hose are an inexpensive source of compression typically used post operatively. You can be measured and fitted for medical grade compression (20-30 mmHg is typically a good start) and they come in many colors, fabrics and styles. If you get swelling only in the lower legs, the knee length should be adequate.

If you have a lot if swelling they may help with this, but TED hose are probably all you need.

TED hose are compression stockings. They may not give as much compression as a graduated compression hose but they do supply vein compression to increase the venous return. I use TED hose all the time for my post vein closure patients. For long term compression a graduated compression hose would be better but TEDs are better than no compression.
