I'm supposed to wear compression hose for venous and CHF reasons. They won't stay in place even with body glue--and they hurt. What can I do?
I've been professionally fitted. I've purchased Jobst stay body adhesive and the stockings still won't stay in place. I am overweight and suffer from multiple illnesses such as PTSD, bipolar depression/rage, COPD, CHF. Recently I've been told the veins in my legs are 8 times larger than normal due to constant swelling over the years. I've been advised to wear the compression stockings, but they won't stay seated no matter what I try. Any suggestions?

Get a garter belt, or you will need panty hose type compression hose.

You could ask your doctor about a different form of compression, such as a CircAid device.

You can get the CircAid device, which uses a series of Velcro wraps. It is actually better than wearing stockings as it provides an element of static compression (vs dynamic compression).
