Is it normal to have a painful area a year after ultrasound-guided foam sclerotherapy, if the treatment was performed on the back of the leg near the sural nerve? The pain extends to the back of that calf. Thanks

No, it is not normal. I would recommend being evaluated by a provider and potentially getting an ultrasound of the area to rule out abnormality.

I had one foam sclerotherapy treatment on my varicose veins. The treated veins still didn't disappear. I need to have another surgery under general anesthesia (2-3 hours long). Is it safe for me to go under GA if my veins are still not completely? How many weeks after sclerotherapy I can have another surgery?

I had foam sclerotherapy for varicose vein 2 months ago by a technique called flebogrif catheter and I read that it may cause complications like stroke. Is the risk still probable? And what happens to the chemical substance used on the foam after the injection, does it remain in the blood stream and can it be spread by the circulation? Thank you.
