I developed really visible veins on both my forefeet. When I walk they disappear but when I stand they are huge and bulking. Where is the problem?
General -2 answers
Vein doctor said there was no reflux and there was nothing to operate. Rheumatologist said I had no rheumatic problem. Plus, when I stand, the skin on my feet turns red and is itching and burning to the point I cant stand it. Compression stockings help but I feel I am too young (33) to wear them for the rest of my life.

Can lack of excercise alone cause CVI?
General -1 answer
I was diagnosed with CVI a year ago. I’m 52, had 5 pregnancies, varicose veins on feet/ankles, sitting job for 13 years and am in menopause just now. I’ve exercised off and on. My grandma and aunt had DVTs. My mom had varicose veins. No one I know of has CVI. I’m afraid this is due to being too sedentary. I wear compression stockings now, pain and swelling almost unbearable. I’ve been seen by 2 phlebologists and they won’t help me. Standing ultrasound shows no reflux or superficial veins.

Why do the veins of my arms appear like small bumps?
General -1 answer
The veins of left arm appears to be normal but recently on my right arm when I lower my hand the vein pops out abnormally. The veins look weird, like pimples, but bigger. I don't feel any pain but they are freaking me out because they look bizarre.

I have extreme tightness and pain in both feet. On the top of right foot it feels like the muscle tightens up and it's painful when I try to stand. It feels like a Charlie horse. It takes a few minutes for the pain to go away and where I can flatten my foot upon standing up. What is this pain I'm having? Why?

I have a varicose vein on my left leg. Is it OK to continue moderate running and weight training which I currently enjoy on a daily basis?
General -3 answers
I had a varicose vein removed (sclerotherapy) from my right leg 9 years ago, and would like this new vein to be treated as well. I am concerned that new varicose veins will keep developing over the years and what might be happening to the veins deep in my legs. At 41 years old, do I really need to stop or drastically reduce my normal fitness routine?

I did a lot of walking at Disney, jumped down from a very small wall and immediately felt a severe pain. A large vein was bulging.
General -1 answer
This happened while doing a lot of walking for 3 days straight in Disneyland. It’s been about 5 days and the vein is no longer showing, but there’s a large bruise and still some pain. I’m 51 years old. What could this be?

Can you further explain the Nutcracker syndrome?
General -1 answer
I have serious varicosities on my legs. I was told it’s coming from an obstruction caused by the aorta, which blocks the vein leading to the left kidney (nutcracker syndrome). I would like to know more about this.

I am 35 weeks pregnant. Can a vein rupture during delivery? I have them on both ovaries.
General -1 answer
I am not set up for any treatments. They said they will wait until after the baby is born. I did not have any issues or signs with my first pregnancy almost 4 yrs ago. I was diagnosed in my second trimester with this pregnancy. I thought I had a UTI. They did a pelvic ultra sound and found I had veins all over both ovaries and found it very odd that I did not have any issues with my first pregnancy or ever before that. I just didn't know if there were any risk with delivery with this syndrome.

I have been told by techs in blood labs and diagnostic imaging that I have scarring in my arm veins from repeated procedures.
General -2 answers
As a patient with stage 4 prostate cancer, I have had many of these testing procedures. It has become difficult and sometimes impossible for techs to insert needles in my arm veins for blood draw, or to inject contrast or radiotracer. I do have moderate venous insufficiency in both lower legs, although that seems unrelated. Is this a problem which reverts to a healthier state over time, using alternate veins? (The veins on the backs of my hands are OK for now).
