Can ovarian vein embolization (both sides) cause the onset of the external hemorrhoids? What is the normal time frame to experience PO discomfort ?
Pelvic Congestion Syndrome Treatment -1 answer
I had both ovarian veins blocked (no coils ) a week ago. I got a painful hemorrhoid 2 days later. I'm still experiencing uneasiness and a throbbing sensation in my groin and left leg.

Can you still get pregnant if you had pelvic vein embolization?
Pelvic Congestion Syndrome Treatment -1 answer
I was recently diagnosed with pelvic congestive syndrome (PCS) and was advised not to have pelvic vein embolization if I want kids in the future. I was put on water pills to reduce bloating but the pain is not subsiding. I don't want to risk infertility but I also don't want to continue being in pain every day.

A month ago I had embolisation of both ovarian veins. The day after, tingling in my legs started and then pain and it hasn't stopped. What's happening
Pelvic Congestion Syndrome Treatment -1 answer
This was the first time that embolisation for pelvic congestion syndrome was done in my country so my vascular doctor doesn't know what is happening and he reffered me to a neurologist. I saw a neurologist who told me to do EMG and ENG and the results came normal so she concluded that I do not have polyneuropathy and referred back to the vascular doctor. Now I'm back at square one and these new symptoms are even worse than the ones that I did the embolisation for.

Can PCS cause the cervix to dilate? I have severe reflux in my legs and have had bad pelvic pain on/off for a couple of years.
Pelvic Congestion Syndrome Treatment -1 answer
Everything had been ruled out accept an unexplained dilated cervix. The pain went away so all testing stopped. Recently, I started having hip pain so they ordered an MRI of my back and hip. MRI of back showed hemangiomas in my vertebrae. Hip isn’t done yet. I also began having stomach pain again. While researching, I ran across PCS. With everything going on, could all of these be related to PCS?

Can PCS cause bloating?
Pelvic Congestion Syndrome Treatment -1 answer
I have already been diagnosed with pelvic congestion syndrome. It's not bad enough to go to a vein specialist. I am due for my period any day now (I'm irregular) and I am so bloated that I look like I'm two months pregnant. If I am pregnant then I would only be about a month. Is this much bloating possible from a combination of the PCS and the menstrual cycle? Will the PCS cause menstrual bloating to seem bigger? Or is it possible to show at a month of pregnancy if you're small (4'11 & 94 lbs)?

What is the impact of ovarian vein embolization on fertility?
Pelvic Congestion Syndrome Treatment -1 answer
I have been diagnosed with PCS (via pelvic venogram). I am currently fighting with my insurance to be seen by an interventional radiologist that is experienced in PCS-related embolization. While I am miserable and desire treatment, I am in my early twenties and nulliparous. Reviewing the clinical literature, it is difficult to find clear consensus on the impact (potentially bilateral) ovarian vein embolization can have on fertility. I would appreciate clarification in this area! Thanks

Can an IUS contraceptive help with pelvic congestion syndrome?
Pelvic Congestion Syndrome Treatment -1 answer
I have been seen by a gynecologist, and had a colposcopy done, and had an ultrasound scan. All of my symptoms fit pelvic congestion syndrome, and the doctor said the scan does show this. The gynecologist has recommended an IUS or birth control pill. Is this just a waste of time? Everything I have researched has not recommended this treatment.

I am having bilateral ovarian vein embolisation to treat PCS. I am 26 with no children, will this impact my ability to conceive in the future?
Pelvic Congestion Syndrome Treatment -1 answer
I have had two unexplained miscarriages and not been able to conceive over the past two years since last miscarriage. Could PCS be a reason for these difficulties, given no other cause has been found? If so, could embolization improve my ability to conceive? My treating IR also found left renal vein compression between SMA and aorta and believes this to be the cause of my PCS and enlarged retroperitoneal veins. I suffer chronic pelvic, left flank and lower back pain.

Can PCS cause bloating and a feeling of inflammation on the right side of the abdomen?
Pelvic Congestion Syndrome Treatment -1 answer
I have PCS and apart from occasional pain in the pelvic area, I feel daily periodical pain only on the right side of my abdomen (from pelvis up, but mostly near belly button and all the way to the ribs). The pain has been daily for years but doctors can't find the cause. Can PCS cause this? So far doctors have been useless, and I am very worried. It's a 3 to 4 on the pain scale, but it's a nagging pain that lasts for a few seconds to an hour and comes and goes a few times a day.

Pregnant and bleeding from pelvic congestion syndrome. What can I do?
Pelvic Congestion Syndrome Treatment -1 answer
Last year I gave birth in week 22 + 5 because of heavy bleeding. Nobody could explain the bleeding. I am now pregnant in week 12 and have had 4 very heavy bleeds. Doctors have now said I have PCS but have never seen it before. I will be passed on to a specialist. I am writing from Denmark; I cannot find any information in Danish. I'm desperate and very scared. Cannot loose another baby. What can I do? I am on bed rest. Doctor says blood vessels are enourmous. I have discomfort but no pain.

I started to wear thigh compression 20-30mmHg for an AVM that extends from thigh to pelvic area. Vulvar area has become swollen and painful. What now?
Pelvic Congestion Syndrome Treatment -2 answers
Vein malformation is congenital and has been treated with embolization/sclerotherapy at NYU/St Luke 11 times. At this point, collateral circulation grows within a year of vein treatment. I read of the Velcro-assisted garment for thigh only. I had many good days of walking, but then my vulva became swollen, similar to thrombosis. Now, it is being suggested by a CML that I get lymphatic massage to break through the vulvar area of congestion. I never had lymph malformation. I am so confused/sad.
