Varicose Vein Treatment Questions

Can a varicose vein near the penis cause erectile dysfunction and is there any solution for this other than Viagra or other medications?
Varicose Vein Treatment -1 answer
My husband started having issues with ED back in April. He could get an erection easily but it would not last. His doctor felt a mass near his testicle and thought it might be testicular cancer, so he sent him to get a CT scan. The apparent result was not cancer but a varicose vein that the doctor determined was causing the ED. He told him the solution would be to take Viagra for the rest of his life and that surgery wasn't feasible. Seems like he should get a second opinion.

Varicose Vein Treatment -1 answer
My mom has venous insufficiency and is getting her varicose veins treated with RF ablation and stab phlebectomy (10-20 stab incisions). The doctor and anesthesiologist want to put her under general or spinal anesthesia. I asked if general anesthesia was necessary or could she do with just tumescent and sedation. They said this procedure would be too painful with just local tumescent and sedation. Is this true? They also told me that they do most of their RF ablation under general.

I am 32 and have had two pregnancies. In my 2nd pregnancy around 18 weeks I developed vulvar varicosities. They went away after delivery but now 10 months post partum they are back. I just had my first period 2 weeks ago after stopping breast feeding. Why would they come back? Is this hormone related? What can I do for relief? Not sure if I am done with being pregnant or not.
