After Venaseal ablation I developed phlebitis on my thigh. Treatment was heat and compression. 7 months post surgery the area is hard and discolored.

Is this within the norm? I am concerned as the area is 5" x 6" and is above the knee. The area is sore to the touch ( I would give it a 5 out of 10 for pain) and has continued to darken over time.
