When can I resume barre classes after Sclerotherapy?

I’ve been wearing my compression stockings consistently for the past 48 hours. My doctor told me to continue wearing during the daytime hours for the next 12 days. She mentioned that I could resume barre classes after a week and a half. Do you recommend? Should I also continue to wear my compression stockings during the 1 hour class?

It is recommended to follow your specialist provider's instructions post treatment. Response can vary for different patients, but in general avoid strenuous exercise and weight lifting for 1 week after sclerotherapy session and wear compression stockings for at least a week during day time. Always be in communication with your provider for any clarification or concern.

All the best!

I recommend wearing compression for only 48 hours total post sclerotherapy and patients can resume all normal activities immediately, except for soaking in a hot tub, for 48 hours post treatment and getting sun burn over the treated areas for 2 weeks post treatment. Therefore, you can resume your classes.
