I am 35 weeks pregnant. Can a vein rupture during delivery? I have them on both ovaries.
General - 2 days ago1 answer
I am not set up for any treatments. They said they will wait until after the baby is born. I did not have any issues or signs with my first pregnancy almost 4 yrs ago. I was diagnosed in my second trimester with this pregnancy. I thought I had a UTI. They did a pelvic ultra sound and found I had veins all over both ovaries and found it very odd that I did not have any issues with my first pregnancy or ever before that. I just didn't know if there were any risk with delivery with this syndrome.

What kind of compression socks does my husband need to wear and where can I find them?
Compression Stockings - 3 days ago2 answers
He's a diabetic and last year had a triple bypass which they took a vein from each leg. He also has 2 stents and has neuropathy. He wears a size 14 shoe and weighs 360lbs. He walks a lot in his job. Ever since the bypass his legs have hurt and swell easily. Now they stay swollen and are red just above his ankle. He takes a water pill everyday but his legs remain swollen and very painful. Our cardiologist told him to get compression socks. We can't find compression socks that fit him.

Hand Vein Treatment - 5 days ago1 answer
He had surgery in the last year. He is diabetic which is under control. Our doctor said it was an infection which can be cured by taking a dosage of antibiotic injections. Is this problem life threatening or a normal one which can be cured? He is suffering from pain.

I understand that compression stockings are helpful for varicose veins and edema, but what if the person also has peripheral neuropathy?
Compression Stockings - 1 week ago2 answers
It was disastrously painful for my peripheral neuropathy when my foot doctor recommended 20 weight stockings. others in my peripheral neuropathy sharing group also said so. I also have varicose veins and edema. Do You still recommend compression stockings, perhaps at a much lighter pressure?

Why do my veins rupture very easily?
Vein Treatments - 1 week ago1 answer
I am 50, female, healthy weight. Since I was in my 20s I've had a tendency for veins to rupture internally and create huge bruises after very minor 'injury' (e.g. kicking a soccer ball, or tapping one leg with other foot while running). This happened mostly on my legs but less frequently since varicose vein surgery 14 years ago. Recently similar ruptures have appeared on the sole of my foot and on my tongue after no injury at all that I was aware of. Can you advise why this may be happening?

Small Saphenous reopened after ablation. Is there any possible future harm?
Endovenous Laser Ablation - 1 week ago1 answer
My small saphenous vein was ablated in September 2017, but it seems that it had reopened just under the sapheno-popliteal junction. My question is the following: does this put me in any possible future harm? Could this reopening mean that the sealed/ thrombosed part (by ablation) of the vein could pass on a thrombus into the opened vein?

I want to rid my under eyes of veins, what's the best procedure and how much would it cost without insurance?
Facial Vein Treatment - 2 weeks ago2 answers
My under eye veins are dark blue/purple, around the undereye and have been there since I was a child. They are painless, but very dark and noticeable. I've read on laser treatment and other options. What procedure would be best for these kinds of veins? How much would it cost without insurance, and what would the end result be? Thanks.

I am almost 5 weeks out from EVLT with phlebectomy. I still have quite a bit of tenderness along the inner thigh. How long can I expect this to last?
EVLT - 2 weeks ago2 answers
US exams have shown full closure of the GSV and no DVT. My vascular surgeon says my varicose veins were very large. I am still wearing thigh-high compression stockings and walking regularly. I am not a big fan of NSAIDS, so my use of them has been minimal throughout recovery. I'm wondering if not using them has prolonged the inflammation.
