Until the introduction of image-guided surgery, varicose veins were treated, often unsuccessfully, through painful surgical vein-stripping procedures that entailed long recovery periods. Using imaging tools such as ultrasound and fluoroscopy (x-ray) in conjunction with specialized devices that close and collapse diseased veins, Dr. Rosenblatt can correct varicose veins and their cause with procedures that requires no incision and from which patients recover immediately.
