I had an injury two weeks after endovenous laser ablation, will everything be OK?

I had the endovenous laser ablation done 14 days ago. Recently, I was playing around with my kids and stomped my foot really hard. Now there is a really sore spot and my leg has a burning sensation all over again. Should I be concerned? My doctor told me to place a warm compress on it.

Everything should be OK, but you need to be evaluated.

I don't think your pain is related to the ablation. It is best to have your doctor check it.

Did you have a follow-up ultrasound? If that vein is closed properly there shouldn't be anything to worry about. Keep the warm compress on the sore spot and make a follow-up appointment with the clinic.

Probably not a big problem, but have your leg checked by your MD if there are concerns.

If your procedure was performed correctly there is nothing you can do to harm the results. Warmth to the area of injury will make it feel better.

Generally, a minor trauma will not jeopardize an endovenous laser ablation treatment. If your gut feeling
is that something is wrong, call the treating physician and request to be seen.

Your doctor is right, heat and anti-inflammatories will help. I don't think that there is any cause for concern.

I suggest you follow your doctor's recommendations. But, if the burning sensation continues, go for a follow- up.

Try wearing your compression stocking and a 6 inch ace wrap on the thigh for a few days. If you don't experience any relief, see your doctor.
