Is there a treatment for nerve damage after radiofrequency vein ablation?

I had this procedure done 3 weeks ago, and I'm in constant pain, with burning and numbness feelings. I have tried pain rx and anti-inflammatories. Is there any treatment for this post op complication?

Not that aware of. Generally this resolves with time.

There are two nerves that can be affected by the laser or radio frequency ablation treatment-the saphenous on the inside of the leg and sural on the heel and lateral part of the foot. Usually these nerve related symptoms resolve over 3 months but I have seen these take up to a year to improve and sometimes there is never complete resolution of the symptoms. The best thing to do at this time is to give it more time. Wet heat applied to the area may give temporary relief. If no improvement by 3 months a trial of neurontin may be beneficial. You should follow up with your vein specialist.

After my doctor cleared me, I resumed my exercise routine, which included running, cycling, strength training, etc. I used to deeply massage tight muscles after exercise using a foam roller or a lacrosse ball and would love to go back doing it again, but I am concerned that pressure from this massage may be too much given I just had the radiofrequency occlusion procedure one month ago. Can I use these items to massage my calves, or do I risk damaging the vein or re-opening it?
