It is difficult to say with two procedures done in the same area. You need to follow up with a vein specialist.

You very likely have a residual varicose vein which is progressing. See your phlebotomist and get another ultrasound.

I would recommend a venous ultrasound to evaluate for incompetent veins. Did you have bilateral greater saphenous vein ablations, bilateral small saphenous vein ablations, and bilateral perforator vein ablations? If so, other veins could have started failing. If not, one of the types or veins mentioned above is probably causing your problems. Many surgeons treat veins in different manners, but it is important to treat all of the failing veins, otherwise the pressure routes to other bad veins and your symptoms are increased. As previously stated, I recommend an ultrasound. The good news is you have plenty of veins in your legs. The bad news is treating the incompetent veins does nothing for your genetics which ultimately causes them. Therefore, to reduce recurrence keep wearing compression stockings, walk frequently, and elevate your legs when you are sitting around.
Good Luck

Bluish discoloration is usually due to vein formation, either spiders or matting. This could be due to an underlying feeder vein. A repeat venous ultrasound would be indicated to not only look at the closed veins but also the venous distribution in your area of concern. I am not sure why you are having pain in this area. It may not be related to your prior procedure. You should follow up with a vein specialist.
