I have May Thurner syndrome and am having balloon and stent surgery to treat it. I need to fly from Sydney to the Gold Coast 6 days after the procedure. Is this OK?

My right leg has been swollen for 9 months now. I had rf ablation to close the greater saphenous veins, but my leg is still swollen. I've had all normal ultrasounds and a CT scan that was normal. My new vein Dr. thinks it's May Thurner syndrome. I was on the pill for 25 years. I know it's a rare condition and even more rare in the right leg, but could I have MTS with no blood clots or DVT?

In the past I was told to only do 100% hormone free options. Now I am hearing that the mirana has only the pesterone hormone with has yet to prove as a risk factor. Is this true, prestonrne doesnt doesn't have an affect on clots?

My daughter is 24 and has Hashimoto's disease. Her history includes a tumor inside her left ovary at 15 yrs old that was removed saving 25% of ovary which was thought to have been the cause of 2 years of menstrual spotting prior to its removal, menstruation began monthly after that. Her PMS includes extreme lethargy and increased back pain and leg weakness. Should she see a vascular surgeon?

I've had swelling in my left ankle and calf for a few years. Pain for a few months in calf, and sometimes whole leg, but not when I walk. occasional tingling. I’ve had 2 ultrasounds on both legs a month apart— 1 while standing and 1 while laying down with the table tilted. No clots were found but some mild veneous insufficiency. the sugested treatment was wearing compression stockings for 6 weeks to see if it helps. May Thurner Syndrome was mentioned and the clinic wants to do a venography.
