No, it is not normal. If you do have a burn, it is very rare and unlikely. Go back to your treating physician and have him or her evaluate you and treat you.

NO, that shouldn't happen. Treat it with an Aloe-vera plant. If you do not have access to a plant, an Aloe-vera cream or gel will work just as well. You can get this product at Walgreens and most drug stores.

A skin burn should not occur after an EVLA. We recommend that you make an appointment with the facility that did the procedure. You need to be evaluated.

Although not normal, skin burns can occur after EVLT and are a known complication of the procedure. Common causes of post-EVLT skin burns are a treated vein that is very close to the skin, not enough tumescent anesthesia between the vein, and skin high treatment energy. Most burns respond to local care with topical ointments.
