Will the spider veins left fade after a Phlebectomy?

I had a phlebectomy two weeks ago and I am still feeling tender spots especialy around the incision sites. The spider veins were behind my knee. I am looking at the results and seems like I still have a lot of spider veins and they are still dark.

Phlebectomies do not treat spider veins but do treat varicose and reticular veins. If the reticular veins feeding the spider veins are treated, the spider veins may decrease but usually they will require subsequent sclerotherapy. If the spider veins appear dark, they may be clotted and should resolve over several weeks. The tender areas are due to the phlebotomies and will also improve with time. Wet heat to the areas and ibuprofen will help. You may need additional sclerotherapy in the future.

Spider veins will likely persist after phlebectomy or EVLT procedure. They can be targeted and treated with sclerotherapy.

My Dr discussed EVLA and Sclerotherapy. Now, my paperwork mentions EVLA, Deep Sclerotherapy, and Phlebectomy are approved by insurance. I was told that this is just a back up procedure, but I am uncomfortable with the seemly casual addition of taking out veins.
