After sclerotherapy, how many days does it take before you can go to 15-20mmhg hose?

I had sclerotherapy 5 days ago and have been wearing 20-30mmhg compression hose for the full 5 days, except at night. Would I run into complications, or would the effects of the procedure, be compromised if I dropped down to 15-20mmhg hose at this point?

Firstly I would check with your treating physician but in this clinic we use 20-30 mmHg for 7 days. However, I do not believe you will affect your progress in you decrease the compression. There are many clinics who only use 15 - 20 mmHg compression without adverse effects.

I don't think it would make a difference at this point to reduce the degree of compression. At a week you could stop the compression all together.

Technically, 20-30 mmHg stockings should be worn for a total of 7 days, but 5 days should be sufficient in this case. You do not need to wear any stockings after the 7 days if you do not want to. After the 7 days stockings are optional.

The use of compression stockings varies greatly from one physician to another with regard to duration, strength, and hours worn. Since each physician has their own recipe for success, I recommend following your physician's advice.

I recommend to my patients that they wear compression post sclerotherapy for only 48 hours so I find no reason for you to not switch to the lower, more comfortable compression.
