i have very prominent dark blue veins that appear across my chest and my arms. they do not cause pain but i find them very unsightly and wanted to know if there is any treatment or procedure that can diminish the look of these veins?
There are absolutely treatments available for these types of veins, so there is no reason one should have to suffer with the presence of unsightly veins anywhere on the body.
The most typical treatments for the areas of the chest and arms would be laser treatment and/or injection sclerotherapy, both of which have excellent results. Bluish veins are usually treated with sclerotherapy. Depending on the size and location of the veins, your vein specialist may recommend one or the other, or a combination of both.

Yes there are treatment options including sclerotherapy; or if the veins are very tiny VeinWave or VeinGogh (utilizing radiofrequency ablation).

Veins in the skin of the chest and arms can usually be treated with sclerotherapy. I have frequently injected veins on women's breasts and chest area with success. Arm veins can be injected but these should be treated selectively as they may become necessary for IV access at some future time. You should see a vein specialist before undergoing treatment.

Most veins can be safely treated with sclerotherapy, or injections. That would be the best choice without being able to see them personally. If they are small enough, sometimes surface laser treatments can be effective.

Sclerotherapy may be helpful for treating veins of this sort on the chest or breast. One should treat veins on the upper extremities only after careful consideration of the effect this may have upon access to veins for intravenous fluids and medications for medical treatment of more important problems in the future.

Depending on the size and location of the veins these it may be possible to treat the veins with sclerotherapy or the veinwave.
If these are simply normal veins which are prominent due to their location (ie surface location) it may ill advised to treat these.
