Compression hose should be worn for 7 day in total after sclerotherapy. Some swelling may occur after sclero and the stockings will help, but if there is painful swelling, you should go in for your follow up appointment which should've been scheduled already.

No, in general, the stockings are to help treat the swelling.

Your legs should not be swollen after sclerotherapy. You should have an ultrasound examination immediately to rule out a deep vein blood clot.

Removing the stockings may make swelling worse. Keep them on and check with your doctor if swelling persists.

Take the compression stocking off for 30 minutes. Raise your legs and put your compression stocking on again without any creases.

The purpose of the support hose following sclerotherapy is to reduce the swelling and bruising and keep the solution in contact with the treated veins. You should not be getting swelling if the hose fit appropriately. I would recommend getting a proper fitting hose and wear them post sclerotherapy.
