Some brusing is expected after MPs however this generally resolves within 1-2 weeks. The amount of bruising varies with multiple factors like the size of the veins and the patient.

Bruising is extremely common after microphlebectomy and should be expected. The amount of the bruising is dependent upon the extent of microphlebectomy, the medications you are taking (e.g. aspirin), as well as other factors.

While individual circumstances vary, most patients bruise very little even when they are taking anticoagulants such as warfarin.

There is bruising following microphlebectomy. It will resolve over about 2 weeks. Support stockings post procedure helps. The amount of bruising depends on the extent of the procedure and the patient.
