What you are describing is consistent with what is called "extravasation": leakage of sclerosing agent outside of treated blood vessel. That is one of side effects of sclerotherapy. In majority of cases, it heals entirely, but it does take some time. You definitely should go back to a healthcare professional who performed your treatment, and who will follow, make sure it heals well and might even recommend a few simple routines to speed it up. Without actually seeing the area, I cannot say with 100% certainty, but it sounds like you have the beginnings of one of two things. First, you could just have a localized phlebitic area caused by blood collecting in an area that was treated. The second possibility is that you have the beginnings of a chemical burn from the treatment drug. If the round area starts to form a dark scab, that is what you have. Check with the provider who is treating you.

All of what you describe can occur post-sclerotherapy, probably from bleeding under the skin. Warm compresses, wet heat to the area and ibuprofen should help. If it does not improve over the next week, then follow up with your treating physician.
