How effective is foam sclerotherapy in eliminating the underlining cause? Whereas, I have read that the regular schlerotherapy does not treat the cause?
I am not sure what you mean by underlying cause. If you mean valvular reflux, then neither foam nor liquid sclerotherapy to treat spiders will resolve reflux. Foam sclerotherapy can be used to treat reflux in the saphenous system, but most vein specialists will treat reflux with an ablation procedure since this is the safest and most efficient way to do this.
