Can laser light therapy treat facial redness and veins?

I'm only 16, and I have lots of small veins and redness on my nose and cheeks. Is laser light therapy good for this? Are there any age restrictions, and how much downtime is needed after each procedure?

Laser is effective at reducing redness and removing dilated capillaries (pink and red threadlike vessels). The most effective vascular lasers are a KTP (532nm) or PDL (585nm). IPL (intense pulsed light) devices are not lasers and are significantly less effective at reducing redness and capillaries.

Yes, light therapy can treat facial spider veins. You may need more than one treatment to get the results you are looking for, and typically you will need to wait 4-6 weeks in between treatments. You will have a little bit of redness or possibly some bruising for up to two weeks, depending on your skin type. All clients under the age of 18 must have the consent of their parent or guardian of course first.

IPL (fotofacials) and other types of laser treatments are perfect for facial vascularity of many types. No downtime and minimal discomfort.

We use the Limelight IPL system which has special settings to focus in on vascularity. We also use the 1064 YAG laser for focal treatments of larger veins and also it can perform the Genesis treatment. Often a combination of these options gives the best results.

Laser light therapy can be used for the treatment of facial veins. I
don't treat facial veins in my practice, therefore I am not
knowledgeable regarding the restrictions or post-procedure recovery.
