Is there a treatment for spider veins on the hands and facial areas?

I have spider veins on multiple areas of my body, and I'd really like to have more than just the ones on my legs treated. Can spider veins on the face/neck area, hands, and arms be treated, and what procedure do you recommend?

Both spider veins and enlarged veins on most areas of the body can be treated. The types of treatment usually depends on the location of the veins and size of the veins. Types of treatment include laser, microphlebectomy, sclerotherapy and VeinWave or VeinGogh. See someone with experience treating veins in this area.

We have found that injections are the best treatment for spider veins on the legs; however, lasers and pulsed-light sources are the best treatment for spider veins on the face and hands.

Spider veins of the face are usually treated with laser light therapy but some of the bluish veins around temples are often treated better with sclerotherapy. Spider veins of the hands and legs tend to do better with sclerotherapy but some tiny reddish vessels are well treated by a cutaneous laser or light treatment.

We do treat facial veins in addition to leg veins. Depending on the type and size of the vein, our doctors would use either light therapy or injections. That is something that can be determined at the time of your consultation.

LASER works much better on the lower pressure spider veins of the hands and face than it does in the legs. Generally, sclerotherapy is thought by many to be better for most spider veins of the legs.
