My compression stockings really hurt the back of my knees I cannot get my compression stockings to not have wrinkles. These wrinkles gather around the back of my knee and really hurt. How do I overcome that?
All stockings are not alike. Typically, you get what you pay for. The best stocking is one that is graded in pressure and custom fitted to your leg by measurement. Ask your physician if you can wear below knee stockings to prevent this specific problem, but you may be better off in the long run with one pair of custom fitted stockings that may be slightly more expensive. This problem should not occur if they are fitted properly.

Make sure you were fitted properly, it sounds like the stockings are slipping down from the top. There is a skin glue that can be applied to the top of the stocking to help prevent slipping. We have good results with a product called "It Stays". There may be other glues available.

The keys with compression stockings are that they fit properly and that they are worn. It seems that they do not fit you properly. They could be too long. I would recommend a custom fit stocking or perhaps another brand.

If the stockings are calf length, you may be pulling them too high or may be wearing hose that are too long for you. If they are thigh length hose, they may be sliding down some. There are several brands of roll-on adhesive which help hold up hose on the thighs which might help.
