Which of the three running compression socks are best.

I am considering three different types of running compression socks. One is around 20mmHg, but I don't know if they are graduated because that's the only number I got. The other pair is between 14-28mmHg and is reversely graduated. The last is graduated and between 24-38mmHg. Of the three, which would you recommend?

I would recommend the 24-38 mmHg, as this would be a class II.

Unless you have venous reflux, I would recommend the lower strengths up to 20 mmHg. 2-38 pressure is probably too high for a normal healthy person. We carry Sigvaris who have a 20 mmHg runner sock.

Good question. The answer depends on what compression you need. For example, are the hose for varicose veins, swelling, or athletic performance? Progressively graduated stockings are the best; meaning, that they have the most compression at the ankle.

This is a personal preference based on comfort. As far as any significant effect on veins, there is little research on sport socks. Their main use is post-exercise recovery. They are more fashionable than the standard stockings and any of these that will stay up are OK.

Running essentially does what compression stockings should do, and that is compress the calf muscles to increase the venous return and to decrease the venous hypertension. If you need any compression hose at all for running, the 20mmHg should be adequate. The other two stockings will be hard to apply and will be tight when running. Unless you have an underlying venous insufficiency, I would recommend either no stockings or the minimum compression.

However, due to severe psoriasis and eczema on my feet, I cannot wear full-coverage stockings that cover them. They must always be in wet dressings, but cannot be fully covered. Would footless compression stockings be just as effective as full-coverage hose following the procedure?
