DVT Ultrasounds in Mesa, Arizona (AZ)

Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a potentially life-threatening condition where a blood clot travels from the lower legs to the lungs. It can be detected by ultrasound imaging, whereby it can then be treated.

How DVT ultrasounds are performed

You will lay on a bed or operating table where a sonographer uses an ultrasound machine (known as a Doppler) to analyze and image your femoral vein. If there are any abnormalities in blood flow, you may have a blood clot.

Cost

Ultrasounds are typically covered by insurance if it is deemed medically necessary, however 3D ultrasounds are not covered.
