I have thin skin and prominent blue veins on my chest that make me feel self-conscious. Can foam sclerotherapy be used on the chest? If so, would the treatment rid the ugly blue veins? I want to feel more beautiful wearing the wedding dress of my dreams.
Foam sclerotherapy can eliminate blue veins on your chest. it can take a few months to disappear, and they turn a light brown, rust color first, so time it well in advance of the wedding. Dr Mok

I do use foam sclerotherapy on the chest. Veins on the larger side may need microphlebectomy.

You probably could, but I don't think any physician would take that kind of risk. If that sclero got anywhere near your heart, that would be a tragedy. Honestly, I would tell you not to take the risk, but even then, I don't see any physician doing the same whether you wanted it or not.

Yes, foam sclerotherapy can be used in the treatment of chest veins. The process is really not that much different than that used on the legs. The only real difference is the location for which the procedure is being performed. Consult with a trained and certified specialist who has experience treating chest veins.

Foam sclerotherapy has a bit more risks, and I would recommend regular liquid sclerotherapy on those veins. Please consult with an expert who has experience treating chest veins.

Foam sclerotherapy may be safely used for reticular and varicose veins. However, "Varithena," the recently FDA-approved foam that will be available later this year, is indicated for only saphenous leg veins at
present. Regardless of which foam is used, an experienced practitioner can usually provide good cosmetic results for prominent chest veins.

Yes, sclerotherapy of reticular chest wall & breast veins works well. It take at least 4-6 weeks for the mild bruising to resolve. I use liquid sclerotherapy (not foam) on these veins. Liquid solutions results in less blemishing than foam.

Yes, foam sclerotherapy can be used on chest veins. Just be sure to give yourself plenty of time to heal, especially if you are thin skinned.

Yes, foam sclerotherapy of chest veins as well as veins on the breasts can be used to treat prominent veins. There is good success with sclerotherapy in that area. If you are considering sclerotherapy injections, I would do so at least a couple months ahead of your wedding date because you can have some minor local bruising that resolves within a couple weeks or less. Also, there is commonly some increased pigmentation along the course of the vein treated, which again resolves in about 2-4 weeks.

Yes, it can be used. In our office we also offer Veinwave depending the size of the vein. Consult with a vein specialist to discuss treatment options.

Foam or liquid sclerotherapy works very well on blue chest and breasts veins. I have done this many times with excellent results. Just see someone with experience treating veins in this area.
